The small Temple is overseen by Priest Lomas Phanderghast This newly established chapel was built and funded by the Phandalin community years ago in honor of the aid rendered to the settlement by the locals in the battle against marauding orcs some years ago. Tomas can usually be found in the temple sweeping the floor or performing some other household cleaning.

The Moneychanger's Shop is a small bank business in Phandalin that offers secured storage to the merchants and traders that come through Phandalin. It is owned and operated by a man by the name of Stephon Winterghast.
The Moneychanger's Shop is located on the north side of the settlement and has been well established since the early days of Phandalin. It carries a good working reputation with it's customers and the people of Phandalin. The bank is established within a well-secured building that is rumored to have magical wards placed all through the structure by a passing wizard years ago to assist in the location remaining secure at all times . . . no one has put that rumor to the test though. This local Moneychanger's Shop is endorsed by townmaster Harbin Wester and during all business hours one can always find at least two guards stationed inside the Moneychanger's Shop that are locally hired by the owner of the shop. The location offers a fairly straightforward service. Individuals can deposit their hard-earned coin within the secured building and withdraw the same amount at a later date. Information about the amounts of transactions and the bank's clientele are kept secret. The Moneychanger's Shop handling fees are 3% for all coin deposits and storage (no matter the length of time the bank holds a customers coin and valuables) and 4% are non coin valuables stored within the bank.
The Phandalin Moneychanger's Shop does not offer loans to customers. It is strictly a location within Phandalin that exchanges coin and stores valuables for this in need "at a small fee of course". Storge of items has no time limit but the storage fees do adjust with the length of time the items are stored here.

Danley and Sons is two-story building set in the northside of Phandalin. The inn has six guestrooms upstairs with a communal washroom at the very end of the hall and at this time, all rooms are vacant "for the purpose of our campaign". The rooms are clean and comfortable. Although the hall does not contain windows with curtains, each of the rooms has a window. Each room has a comfortable bed, many covers & blankets, a wash stand, chamber pot, towel, pegs for garments, and several chairs and stools.
Danley and Sons is a sparsely attended cheap and ordinary looking inn. It does enough business to keep its doors open but not much more. It has its regular customers, mostly friends or friends of friends of the family. Despite being in a struggling community, Danley and Sons occasionally hosts traveling minstrels for entertainment. Danley is an industrious miner who sought to reopen ore production in Phandalin several years ago.Danley is a man "in his mid 40's" who is the proprietor of the Danley and Sons, that rents out the rooms and seems to manage the inn and his son named Talbet usually works in the back either cooking or washing dishes . He is polite and smiles often to customers, but one can tell he does not tolerate visitors who do not respect the rules of his establishment. He is friendly enough "for the most part" and is always welcoming to those visiting. A redheaded barmaid named Adelaine, rushes from table to table taking orders and going to and from the kitchen in the back to get meals for customers.
Danley is the proprietor of the Danley and Sons. Danley is a human man with redish hair and a nervous demeanor. He has a tendency to unconsciously rub his hands together when stressed. Like the Stonehill Inn, Danley and Sons also has a cat that stays in the Inn. This cat however is not a stray, it belongs to Danley and is named Muffin "that being the cats favorite food". He keeps his cat in the Inn with hopes that he might help bring in a few more customers.
The establishment is a nondescript everyday Inn one might find in any small village. The main floor in the inn consists mostly of open area filled with small round tables with chairs and a medium sized bar located along the left side on the main floor as you enter the establishment.
Candles have been place throughout the dining area which keep the bottom floor well lit. Bar stools have been placed at the bar itself. The inn is clean and very well maintained, you can tell Nana takes great pride in her business. At most times during the day, a young red headed girl can be seen waiting tables occassionally tripping over the local feline that seems to live within these walls.Prices at the Danley and Sons Inn are reasonable and the meals that are prepared here are decent enough. Venison, mutton, stuffed trout, roasted goose, pork, fried sausages, kidney pie, stuffed pheasant and boiled crayfish are just a few of the foods which are served here. The inn is not a bad establishment, but due to the lack of business the establishment has gone down over the recent years but remains a clean and welcoming place to eat meals.
Meals are served on pottery or pewter or copper services according to the customers order. Various leather jacks, pottery mugs, wooden tankards, pewter steins, glass flagons, crystal goblets, or silver chalices are used for the beverages. The locally brewed ale and beer is supplemented by other various local brews, mead and brandy are also served at the inn..

Edermath Orchard is an apple orchard just outside of Phandalin. The orchard is located on the northwest side of the settlement, and is a dominant landmark for anyone arriving into Phandalin from the road. The trees surrounded a small group of buildings in which the orchard's business took place, and the house of the owner, Daran Edermath, is nearby.
The orchard operated year-round, and thus always smelled strongly of apples. In the warmer months, the orchard produced fresh fruit and juice, while in the winter, fruit is processed into cider and other products. The orchard counted both visiting merchants and local food and drink establishments as customers.
Daran Edermath (the current caretaker of the Orchard) is a retired adventurer who lives in a tidy little cottage beside an apple orchard. A fit, silverhaired half-elf well over a hundred years old, Daran is a fighter who serves as protector of the region around Phandalin "appointed by the townmaster" for many years in and around the settlement. Upon retiring, he remained in the region and relocated to Phandalin where he started his orchard.
Daran is also still a reserve member of the Harkenwold miltia "but only during times of conflict", that strives to protect others from the depredations of evildoers. The half elf is always vigilant, ready to smite evil, enforce justice, and enact retribution against any who try to subjugate or harm others. Though he is no longer active in the militia, he keeps an eye on happenings around Phandalin. He is happy to trade news with fellow adventurers, especially those who appear to hold to these virtues.
Daran Edermath currently lives in a small cottage on the southern side of his orchard. When not attened his trees he can usually either be found here or in the Stonehill Inn in Phandalin.

Tresendar Manor is one of the largest buildings in the Phandalin "actually just outside of Phandalin". It was first inhabited by the Tresendar family, but after its abandonment, it now serves as a base for the Redbrands, as well as bugbears, goblins, and other undesirables.
The manor is located at the end of the main northern trail leaving Phandalin, just beyond the Sleeping Giant tavern. The path leading up to the manor is curvy and elevated by one hill on top of another.
Ruined from the outside, the manor still stands, but clearly in a poor, unmaintained state. It appears much more like a keep than a simple place of dwelling, and is surrounded by a handful of trees and shrubs. The floors are made of flagstone and the walls are well-made stone blocks.
The manor contains several rooms, and a stone staircase that leads to a large cellar, which was originally used to store food and drink. There is also a crypt that was used as a place of rest for family members who had passed away in the past. Several oil lamps light up each room. The doors are made of wood and the handles of iron.
Many years ago, orcs swarmed the caverns below the manor. Though many of the orcs were fought off, Aldith Tresendar was eventually slain, and his enchanted longsword, Talon, was lost to the ages.
Several years ago, a group of ruffians, moved in and occupied the manor. Although the uppermost rooms of the manor were unusable (such as the kitchen) after its abandonment, the basement garnered much usage by these bandits. As such, many additions were added to the cellar, such as barracks and workshops.
Two years ago, Thel Dendrar, the local woodcarver, stood up to the group that occupied the manor. He was slain and fed to a nothic "a monstrous creature with terrible talons and a single great eye", while his family was captured and thrown into the slave pit. Later, Carp Alderleaf, a lad from Phandalin, managed to locate the secret entrance to the base via a tunnel.

The Lionshield Coster, also called the Lionshields, is a merchant company based out of the city of Fallcrest, that operates throughout the vale.
The merchant company's symbol is an image of a lion's head placed upon a wooden or metal shield. In some instances the lion is colored blue, while in others it is emblazoned over a blue background.
This merchant company is able to ship finished goods, such as supplies of armor and weapons, to small settlements and towns all throughout Nentir Vale and beyond.
One such settlement is Phandalin near the East Way and the Dawnforge Mountains. The settlements trading post is overseen by Linene Graywind, a sharp-tongued human woman in her mid thirties. The organization also has a trading post in Winterhaven called the Lion's Share, run by Darthag Ulgar. It is a modest building. Above the front door is a weathered wooden sign in the shape of a shield on which is painted a blue lion. Armor and weapons are stored in a back room to keep them out of the hands of any who might wish harm upon the people of Phandalin. The store serves as an outpost and delivery point for caravans run by the Lionshield Coster, and specializes mostly in providing the people of Phandalin with finished goods, horses, armor, weapons, and other adventuring equipment. It is perhaps the only place in the settlement where adventurers can sell valuable treasures for reasonable prices, although the rates were much lower than in Fallcrest or Winterhaven.
During the Year of 103AE, deliveries to the Phandalin Lionshield Coster are frequently attacked by bandits, including the Cragmaw tribe. At least one caravan from Fallcrest was completely lost, with all of its goods being stolen. The master of the trading post is Linene Graywind, who is assisted by her daughter, Minghee Graywind. They live on-site, on the second floor in a small apartment.

The Phandalin Patisserie Shoppe is the bakery and home of Tobin Amberfoot, a young, brown haired Halfling who opened this Patisserie Shoppe some 2 years ago after traveling from Fallcrest. Tobin left Fallcrest to find a smaller community to tend to with his baked goods. He wanted to have a more personal feel with his customers and in a big city like Fallcrest, this was impossible to do. When seen working in his shoppe, he will be seen carrying several of his various cookbooks, pouring over new recipes. This patisserie shoppe is all Tobin has so he puts fourth a serious effort to make his customers happy.
The shop stands next to the Countryside Inn which gives this establishment a lot of business. The building is a small bakery, and surprisingly well stocked for a settlement of this small size, with the front of the shop facing the main street that goes through the center of Byroden. It has a small cellar for storing supplies, with the ground floor given over to the business and upper floor used as the Tobin's home. The ground floor has two main sections. The front of the building is the store and is open to the public. Here, a counter ringed the room with large cabinets displaying the day's wares; there is also a bread bin. A corridor leads to the back of the building. The cellar of the building is used for storage, holding ingredients. At the rear was the kitchen and preparation area, with a large oven, cooling racks, and work bench. He has his own personal oven sent to Phandalin to his new shop . . . he is rather fond of that particular oven, and he believes his oven is just as good as this so called "magical" oven in Nenlast.
The bakery has a small dining room at the front of the shop. Upstairs is a small living area, furnished with two couches, rug, and bookcase with a small bedroon in the back. Off of it is a bathroom with bathtub. The shop as a whole is very cosy and confortable and it very popular with the residents of Phandalin. At times the shop has been known to have customers from outside Phandalin . . . the Phandalin Patisserie Shoppe is known throughout Nentir Vale.

After orc incursion years ago, many were laid to rest in the cemetary which is located just outside of Phandalin, including some members of Allara Estorean's former adventuring party: Syrus Kalidrem, Dohla Loria, and Ghen Taleve. The cemetary is maintained mostly by a grounds keeper named Relic Tamsen.

This small building is the Townmaster's office in Phandalin, the center of government in Phandalin which is where one might find Townmaster Harbin Wester during the day time hours when he is not out and about the settlement. This location is also the public meeting place for any important meeting that requires the townmaster's attention. The Townmaster's office is located in the center of Phandalin.
The structure is a small single story building made of good quality stone and wood. The roof is made of wood with a bell tower rising from the back of the building. A noticeboard near the front door displays bulletins and information for residents and newcomers to Phandalin, some are even jobs offering rewards for certain tasks. The office is used for multiple purposes but is mainly used for meetings and such with a sturdy oak table with chairs seated around it. A large hearth warms the entire office during the colder months of the year. The townmaster will meet here monthly with most of the prominent business owners in Ravenvale to discuss matters of importance. A large designer rug lay across most of the center of the room with well-made furniture and such spread across the room.
All rewards for completed jobs are paid out of the Townmaster's office by the Townmaster himself. Outsiders will never gain access to the office without first getting permission. The second floor is mainly used as the lord Townmaster's home. A small hearth is in the back of the room which is independent from the one downstairs. The upstairs room is a simple room, with only the basic necessities. Harbin Wester spends very little time here except for getting needed sleep.
